This retreat is designed to assist students of yoga. It will help them to understand and experience the deeper layers of their personality. The course mainly includes daily yoga asana classes to increase your blood circulation and flexibility so as to release tension and relax the guest physically.

The guest will be guided through a very basic level of yoga pranayama practice to increase the oxygen level in the body which will help them to relax mentally.

Apart from the yoga asana, pranayama - the understanding and regulating of your breath, and meditation, you will also learn the basic concept of yoga and the lifestyle. It will teach you to integrate your body, mind, and soul for complete living.

Shatkarma

The shatkarmas consist of six groups of purification practices. The aim of Hatha yoga of the shatkarmas is to create harmony between the two major pranic flows, ida, and pingala, thereby, attaining physical and mental purification and balance.

Yoga asanas practice

Yoga poses also purify and help to heal the body, as well as control, calm, and focus the mind. Yoga asanas will be practiced daily two times a day. Hatha yoga and Ashtanga yoga is practised during the yoga classes.

Yoga philosophy

Yoga philosophy is one of the six major orthodox schools of Hinduism. Ancient, medieval, and most modern literature often refers to the yoga school of Hinduism simply as yoga. Yoga retreat includes basic yoga philosophy sessions which provide knowledge about the origin of yoga.

Pranayama and meditation

Pranayama and meditation session is very helpful for practitioners to get inner peace in life. Everyone is so busy and they feel there is no time to stop and meditate. But, meditation actually gives you more time by making your mind calmer and more focused.

Yogacharya Manish

Yogacharya Manish Arora is a founder of Yoganandham (A School of Yoga Learning). He is well known and loved for the classes he teaches such as yoga philosophy, Hatha yoga, and teaching methodology sessions for yoga teacher training students. His aim is to teach ancient and authentic teaching methods of yoga practice in the traditional yoga styles which bring the essence of mastery. Yogi Manish teaches with all his experience and knowledge to all the yoga learners with humility and sincerity, but also with positive thoughts and meticulousness.

Vaibhav Arora

Vaibhav Arora is a Meditation and Pranayama Teacher at Yoganandham Rishikesh. He is immersed in yogic practices from an early age, Vaibhav has been on the path of Yoga and spirituality since childhood. Being born and raised in a traditional family in Northern India, gave him the surroundings that naturally led him to a yogic lifestyle.

During the course, you will be staying at Yoganandham (A School for Yoga Learning). The school has a yoga studio, a dining area, a reception, and a wonderful garden surrounded by mountains. Yoganandham Yoga School offers single and double rooms based on the student’s requirements.

Every room has an attached bathroom with a western toilet and hot shower and a cozy seating area provides picturesque views. The rooms for the yogis are well-maintained and clean. They offer bed sheets, pillows, bath towels, toilet paper, a blanket, and toiletries. High-speed Wi-Fi is activated in all property which will keep you connected.

Yoganandham Rishikesh is located in the lap of nature, offering a connection to the nature with Luxurious accommodation. The location is close to nature which gives you an opportunity to explore the nature with a lot of natural trails and an amazing river stream which is just 5 minutes walking from the location, inviting guests to immerse themselves in the tranquil essence of their spiritual journey.

"A wonderful place to feel like home and experience yoga"
At Yoganandham I felt like home right away. The whole team took really good care of us - yoga, meditation, food, culture... You get the chance to learn and improve your yoga skills as well as experience the amazing Indian culture first-hand. And all of that for a very fair price! For the outing on Saturday the owner gave us a tour through Rishikesh and showed us some great places to eat/shop. He even invited us into his home where we could have refreshments, take rest and meet his wonderful family. In the evening we got to experience the Ganga Arti and had a great meal in a restaurant. My favourite day was Holi, when Vaibhav first took us to Rishikesh for the street fun (it was so amazing!!) and then we got to take part in a traditional family picknick including a delicious meal and a bath in the Ganga. They're a wonderful team, you can tell they really care and do everything they can to make your stay even better. The yoga, meditation and philosophy lessons were great as well, you learn a lot about yourself and get to test your limits. I highly recommend Yoganandham! :-)

"Had a great time and learned so much!"
I am a complete beginner (both in yoga and in mediation), the other student was more experiended but the teachers were very good so they made a positive difference for the both of us. The whole team was very kind, lovely and helpfull, my private room was nice and clean, the food was delicious… Very nice place, it helped me rewind after spending some time in the colourful chaos that is India.

Sometimes some sounds of construction (during the day) and loud music (in the early evening) were coming from the surroundings. But it was quiet during the night, it didn't really bother me and this is of course outside of Yoganandham's control.

"Une belle retraite à rishikesh !"
Les cours de yoga et de meditation. J'ai adoré les cours de yoga philosophie cela me paraît un préalable nécessaire à la pratique du yoga. Les repas étaient très bien cuisinés avec une mention spéciale pour les petits déjeuner très frais. Toute l'équipe à été aux petits soins pour moi. Je pense y retourner en octobre prochain. Un grand merci à Vaibav pour sa grande disponibilité et gentillesse.

Les hôtels aux alentours trop bruyants, avec de la musique fort jusque tard dans la soirée. Incompréhensible !!!
