This course makes a unique program designed to help you find your own authentic style in teaching and will awaken the confidence and the capacity to guide, inspire, and support others in their yogic journey. Atman Yoga's mission is to support the trainees in acquiring knowledge, skills, and techniques for a lifelong practice in order to feel the yogic energy evolution for life!
Certification
Students who complete the training are eligible to register with Yoga Alliance as Registered Yoga Teachers (RYT®).
Atman Yoga teacher training program
Atman Yoga uses unique teaching methods to help students to master the content of the course and learn in 2 weeks how to offer holistic and safe yoga classes.
This course is designed for people who aspire to establish a successful career as a yoga teacher, to help you find your own authentic style in teaching safely, and awaken the confidence and the capacity to guide, inspire, and support others in their yogic journey. The core of Atman Yoga's teachings is both ancient and modern, rooted in the rich Himalayans traditions and linked to modern science.
The Atman training offers you a life-changing experience by learning and practicing the yogic science, to refine the sensory mind, enhance personal development, and cultivate a grounded and uplifted energy. You will learn yogic techniques to balance the seven Chakras, as well as the two opposite energies Shiva and Shakti, the Divine Masculine and Divine Feminine energies within your being so as to create energetic shifts in the physical, mental, emotional, and energetic layers of your existence.
The course is open to all people who love yoga, no matter your skin colour, nationality, religion, age, and gender. Atman Yoga merely invites your soul to be present and ready to live in joy, and yoga = union.
Asanas' practice and analysis
In the morning, you will explore Hatha, Vinyasa flow, and Tantra Kriya yoga. During the asana alignment-observation-demonstration-adjustment-anatomy workshops, you will get analytical training and guided practice on all categories of asanas for correct physical and energetic alignment, the types of Surya Namaskara, and how to use yoga props.
In the afternoon, you will participate in Partner, Yin, Ashtanga, and Nidra workshops to develop your authentic teaching style, collaborating various techniques of any style you like!
Pranayama
The first week, you will be starting your day with the amazing techniques of pranayama such as Ujjayi, Nadi Shodhana, Kapalabhati, etc.
Mantras
Exploration of Sanskrit language, the power of mantras, and sound healing.
Meditation
Learn and practice the most common types of meditation such as breath awareness, movement meditation, Japa, Chakra meditation, Trataka, etc.
Kriyas
Introduction to Tantric breath and mantra kriyas. Kriyas is an action that leads you to evolution, expansion, and liberation.
Mudras, bundhas, and dristis
The effects of prana on mudras, bundhas, and dristis in a holistic way.
Teaching methodology
Analysis and discussion on those topics:
- The art of sequencing. You will learn the principles of sequencing and ways to build your yoga class taking into consideration the different skill levels of practitioners
- Cueing in yoga. Learn how to guide your yoga students more efficiently with correct verbal cueing during the yoga classes
- How to address the specific needs of individuals like chronic illness, trauma, pregnancy
- Injury management
- Qualities of a yoga teacher
- Yogic lifestyle, nutrition, self-care, and life as a moving meditation
- Business aspects of teaching yoga
Anatomy
Foundational understanding of western anatomy and systems. Emphasis on the skeletal and muscular system as well as on how to apply anatomy to yoga basic practice with modifications to keep students safe and aware.
Eastern anatomy: the 5 Koshas, Chakras, Kundalini and Nadis. The principles of Ayurveda, the five elements, the three Dosas, and the six tastes. The combination of Western and Eastern anatomy.
Yoga philosophy
- What is really yoga and the history of yoga
- You will elaborate on the Eight Limbs of Patanjali, the five Kleshas, and other key texts of the Sutras of Patanjali
- Bhagavad Gita, Hatha yoga Pradipika, Upanishads, and the Vedas
- The concepts of dharma and karma
- Yoga and Buddhism
- What is Tantra
- The nature of the self
- The nature of the mind
- Yogic lifestyle, nutrition, self-care
Practicum
From the first week you will have a lot of opportunities to teach yoga to others, starting by teaching yourself, then one-on-one and you will progress to teaching larger groups.
In the last days of the training, each student has to offer an integral class with meditation, pranayama, and asanas.

Instructors

Cora Shanti
Coralia Batista was a piano teacher when started travelling around India, Sri Lanka and Indonesia practising yoga and meditation in ashrams and retreats. Teaching yoga was the most natural outcome of her practise. She has been practising in different styles of Hatha such as Satyananda, Shivananda, Kundalini, Ashtanga, Acro, Partner yoga while her major training was in Iyengar and Vinyasa. She has a 15years experience with people of different backgrounds. She is inspired from spiritual or in person connection with great teachers, nature and the power of transformation.

Julia Devi
Julia Devi was introduced to Yoga 12 years ago. Staying in India for years she took her certifications in RYT 500hrs, and she searched for the best Yoga teachers to deepen her practice in all aspects of yoga and especially in yogic philosophy. Her love for well-being motivated her to become a Reiki Master, Quantum-Touch practitioner and she completed a 180 hrs training in Thai Yoga massage. Being passionate about Himalayan Yog-Vedantic Kriyas, she is teaching a mix of asanas and Kriyas. Now she is traveling around the world spreading her knowledge of Yoga and alternative therapies.

Penelopi Zirinoglou
Penelopi discovered her love and curiosity for human movement and anatomy while she was studying to become a physiotherapist. Her thirst for personal and educational development led her into completing several seminars and workshops with teachers from around the world. She has completed 400 RYT and she is a certified Yin Yoga teacher. Her classes are specialized to help you develop your knowledge and your body awareness, always with a sense of humour she teaches yoga with a more therapeutic approach. She is offering many yoga workshops and she is the founder of Physioyogatherapy method.

You will be staying at Puri Oka, a beachfront resort. Located in eastern Bali, Puri Oka Resort provides a tranquil eco-friendly getaway from the city.
It offers elegant rooms and bungalows literally 20 steps from the beach. Free Wi-Fi is accessible from the entire resort. Set amidst beautifully landscaped gardens, rooms and bungalows are decorated in a Balinese style with air conditioners.
