Aim, objective, and requirements

During this retreat at Patanjali International Yoga Foundation, each day will start with chanting mantras, breathing exercises, and traditional Hatha yoga classes. During the day, you will have enough time to explore and enjoy the Rishikesh lifestyle, deepen your asana practice in the afternoon yoga class, and end the day with meditation. All classes will be taught by Dr. Jitendra Das and his assistant yoga teachers.

To be eligible to attend this yoga and meditation retreat, Patanjali International Yoga Foundation has established prerequisites to help create the groups, that are able to work together for two weeks of intensive toga journey.

This is a journey of personal and professional development that builds on the practitioner's previous experience. It is easier and more comfortable to guide trainees if they have previous experience. Patanjali International Yoga Foundation recommends that all applicants have at least one year of regular yoga practice.

The requirements of this retreat program follows a tight schedule where almost each of the five to six training hours in the day is assigned to some aspects of yoga. You could find the training intensive but enlightening. Depending on the yoga school, the mornings can begin as early as 06:00 a.m. with meditation followed by some yoga postures and maybe some classes or lectures in philosophy or anatomy.
