Instructors

Shannon Red
Shannon began her yoga journey in 2003. Her love for Bikram yoga accelerated her undeniable calling to become an instructor. She completed her 500-hour training at BYCI Headquarters in 2004 to eventually begin the process of pursuing her wildest dream of opening the first yoga studio in her most cherished community of The Dalles, Oregon. She later went on to open a second studio in Hood River. Today she has a variety of certifications in many different styles, has started a non-profit kids yoga program in schools & also enjoys teaching at Google, the local jail, schools & both of her studios.

Amie DiGennaro
Amie's interest in yoga began in 2006 while investigating methods to control severe back pain. Although she didn't instantly love hot yoga, Amie did love the pain relief that a consistent hot yoga practice awarded her. The physical benefits of yoga were obvious to Amie but what unfolded was a deeper practice of self observation and connectivity. In the summer of 2010, Amie completed a 200 hour teacher training at CorePower Yoga in Portland, OR, and has been teaching classes at Pure Yoga ever since.

Samantha Whitley
Sam has been practicing yoga on the mat near and far since 2001. In 2015, an Ashtanga class got her attention which ultimately led Sam to complete her 200 and 500 hours of teacher training in Ashtanga vinyasa and the 8 limbs of yoga. You will likely find Sam next to you taking a yoga class and her favorite posture is laghu vajrasana (little thunderbolt in Sanskrit). Sam is also trained and certified in Yoga Nidra.
