It's the perfect time to enjoy a wellness yoga retreat in Norfolk. The sun and warmth have arrived and have given the grounds of this stunning venue time to flourish so that it radiates colours of lush green, sparkling blue from the lake, and reds, oranges and purples of the wildflowers throughout.

Enjoy yoga outside in the sunshine in the morning to energise and enjoy a more restorative practice in the evening on this bank holiday yoga retreat in Norfolk. Enjoy a guided walk to Castle Acre on the first afternoon and a yoga workshop with your teacher on the second afternoon.

AdventureYogi loves it here and has been running their yoga retreats here for 14 years! As an eco-retreat centre, everything has been built with sustainability at the heart of all that they do. There is a swimming lake where you can row boats, a newly developed garden with meandering paths, a Japanese garden and fire pits to stargaze in the evenings. There is also an outdoor heated pool to cool off and take the heat off and a garden café where you can enjoy a coffee and cake after a swim.

Find a connection to nature in the expansive grounds and find enjoy meeting new people. Reconnect to you and release tensions and stresses of everyday life. Enjoy a guided walk to Castle Acre and the next day take a day trip to Holkham beach if you came by car.

About the yoga

Morning yoga on your bank holiday yoga retreat Norfolk:

  • During your yoga retreat in Norfolk, you will be treated to two two-hour classes a day. Enjoy an energising flow class in the morning to increase flexibility and strength while making you feel relaxed, leaving plenty of time for meditation and savasana. Get what you need from each class by going inward and really listening to your inner wisdom so that you can nourish and revive in the individual way that you need.

Evening yoga on your bank holiday yoga retreat Norfolk:

  • The evening yoga class will be more restorative finding yourself in longer holds, allowing the body to open up in its own time. Feel grounded, calm, and nourished from the evening practice.

If it is warm and sunny, yoga will be outside.

Itinerary

The yoga retreat starts 16:00 on Friday so that you can settle in and relax before the yoga class that starts at 18:00 to 20:00 and then dinner. You finish at 11:00 on Monday after the usual morning schedule and breakfast.

  • 08:00 - 08:25 Silent meditation walk in the grounds
  • 08:30 - 10:30 Morning yoga and meditation class
  • 10:30 Brunch served, wholesome, healthy, filling, creative
  • 12:00 - 17:00 Free time to read and relax
  • 13:00 - 15:30 Saturday – a walk to Hill Fort with packed lunch
  • 12:00 - 17:00 Sunday – relax at the venue, drive to Holkham Beach if you came by car, try other walks
  • 17:00 - 19:00 Evening yoga and meditation class
  • 19:15 Delicious vegetarian feast
  • 21:00 Fire pit star gazing
  • 22:00 Bedtime!

Charlotte Hopson

Charlotte's motivation is to share her passion for seasonal, plant-based ingredients and encourages guests to use their time on retreat to reconnect with their relationship to food. As a Pilates, yoga teacher, and chef, she believes that with a balanced approach to exercise, eating well, and making more mindful choices about how and what we consume, we can live a more nurturing, self-supporting, and planet-friendly lifestyle.

These luxury en-suite rooms combine rustic charm with quirky modern twists. They are nestled in a courtyard formation around the Barn which is the yoga, dining and chill-out space. The main barn has underfloor heating throughout, wood burners and big cozy sofas in a living space to relax into.

Each bedroom has original artworks by renowned artist Oliver Barnett, giving each room a unique interpretation of a natural scene creating a perfect harmonious colour balance with the handmade curtains and cushions. All of the bedrooms and bathrooms have their own underfloor heating. They also have super comfortable, extra thick sprung mattresses and high-quality cotton linen.

Twin or double rooms

The rooms are spacious enough for two people to share a room comfortably, with cosy single beds and crisp linen and beautiful en-suite bathrooms that have either a bath or a shower room.

"yoga and hiking in the Peaks"
Very relaxed itinery mixing walking with yoga. Charlotte was a very knowledgeable yoga instructor and the practices were varied. Lovely location in the Peak district.

"Besutiful Bala Brook"
Energising yoga to start each day, restorative to finish. Delicious healthy beautifully presented food from Naphia. All in a peaceful licahion. Forsging and hiking sessions led by experts in their fields.

"Peak District Retreat- Exceeded all my expectations "
I didn’t just ‘like’ this retreat - I absolutely loved it. The venue was amazing, the location breathtaking, Felicity was engaging and so helpful whilst also being part of the group, Hayley (our cook) did amazing food and I was never hungry. Our group was amazing - we had never met but the chemistry was immediate, continuous laughter and chat.
