Most of the time you live your life automatically: going through the same activities every day, every week, every year. Within this routine, you cannot see new opportunities or new ways of life, and thus you remain stuck. Your body tries to renew all of your cells every hour. When your energy starts flowing slower, the process of renewal and rejuvenation becomes slower as well. The same happens with your mind: when there are too many thoughts and worries, you are unable to seek new ways of thinking. Your body and your mind need to be refreshed, reloaded, and healed.

Yoga and meditation

The program includes a combination of active yoga and meditation. Morning sessions are based on Hatha and Restorative yoga and focus on physical body awareness and acceptance. Evening classes offer more meditation techniques and have the purpose of emotional cleansing, calming down your mind, and developing virtues and skills.

Hatha yoga

Many popular modern yoga styles came from classic Hatha Yoga. Hatha Yoga means balance between Sun (Ha) and Moon (Tha) energies, which gives it the power to transform you into a more balanced and strengthened being. Hatha yoga is an ideal starting place for people who are new to yoga. One of the more challenging aspects of a yoga practice is combining movements with breathing control, or pranayama. Hatha yoga works on increasing flexibility and strength, improving breathing, and calming down the mind. Hatha yoga purifies the body in preparation for meditation.

Healing Balinese yoga

Discover your inner self through ancient Balinese healing yoga Markandeya! A combination of movements, static positions, breathing, and meditations will bring you to another level of awareness about all the blocks in your physical body. Your body keeps the memory about your life experiences, emotions of the past, traumas, and self-disconnection. Yoga and meditation are the best ways to work on it and release whatever limits you. Practicing kriyas and meditations is a challenging experience. You always choose how deep you want to delve in.

During the practice, you can experience a lot of resistance and tension, but passing through it will bring you to the inner world where you will meet with your soul, find answers to your questions, and discover your original personality. You will start feeling how your energy is moving, and you will understand that you are more than just a physical body. Attending meditation classes at our Retreat will give you a deep spiritual experience you have never received.

Restorative yoga

Experience the ultimate in restorative bliss with our signature Restorative Universal Yoga sessions. Combining the transformative elements of somatic yoga, hatha, yin, and myofascial release, our practice offers a holistic approach to releasing tension from the soft tissues, enhancing flexibility, and promoting deep healing. With mindful self-connection to the body, you'll experience a profound sense of restoration, allowing you to fully embrace the restorative journey.

Ancient sound healing

The most beautiful and relaxing experience is waiting for you in a sound healing session. Sound healing is a powerful way to reduce stress and calm the mind, allowing you to sink into deep states of relaxation. The usage of different ancient instruments will trigger different emotions inside you. It will be a personal journey, giving you awareness of your inner state and releasing deep subconscious blocks. The practice of sound healing uses sound waves and harmonic vibrations that affect the body through different tones and instruments, including the human voice.

These specific sounds help to harmonize your brainwaves through a technique called Entrainment. Entrainment stabilizes fluctuating brainwaves by providing a stable frequency with which the brain can synchronize. By using rhythm and frequency, you can entrain your brainwaves and facilitate a shift from your normal brain state to relaxed levels of consciousness, which is where deep healing occurs. You typically operate in beta brain states and sound healing can move us into theta and delta brain states. These brain states are associated with the unconscious, deep relaxation, and connection to the universe.

Self-awareness game

You all are playing the game of life. You are wearing different masks and show a wide range of emotions. Who is the original you? What is serving you and what is draining your energy? All answers are inside you, you just need to become aware of your own wisdom.

​%Self-awareness Games have been used for many centuries for clearing up negative mental tendencies and developing a higher conscience. Playing this game opens the awareness of the mind patterns and as a result, can change your life and destiny. It is not a simple game, but a transformative psychological and spiritual practice.

In a few hours of play, you may learn more than you would during years of spiritual or psychological practices. You will find out where and how you are limiting yourself, you will expand your perception, and your consciousness, and discover and eliminate stereotypes, thinking patterns, and subconscious programs that constrain you.

During this game you will develop a deeper understanding of:

  • What obstacles are preventing me from achieving my goals?

Metaphorical cards personal session

​%Metaphorical associative cards extract from the subconscious thoughts and feelings, the real motives of your actions, and the causes of problems. You will meet your unconscious and dive into yourself. After identifying the problems, you will create an intention for healing, by establishing the desired situation and the steps you have to take in order to achieve your goals. Your intention for the metaphorical cards can be connected to:

Aroma cards session

Personal aroma diagnostic is based on aroma cards interpretation relating to your initial question about:

  • What resource will you receive when you sort it out?

The outcome of the session is Aroma Blend designed personally for you from the oils of the aroma cards with recommendations how to use it in order to work on your situation.

The Master combines Thai, Yoga strecthing techniques, deep tissue massge, accupresure, and foot reflexology. Combination of the holistic body work techniques helps transfering your energy trough your body. Ari Lisna

Ari was working as an emergency nurse for couple years when she got an autoimmune disease that made it impossible for her to walk and do active movement. Yoga became one thing that healed her. Since then, she decided to start teach yoga and share her experience with other people. Ari is a certified Hatha and Yin yoga teacher. Her teaching is grounded in the principles of embodiment. That refers to the practice of bringing awareness to physical sensations, emotions, and thoughts in the present moment. By cultivating a deeper connection to your body, you can learn to listen to your inner wisdom.

Guru Made

Guru Made has been teaching yoga for more than 20 years. He started his journey from classic Sivananda Hatha yoga, and now he is specialized in ancient healing Balinese yoga Markandeya, yoga therapy, sound healing, and aqua healing Shiatsu. He is the head of a yoga community in the North of Bali and helps local people to find happiness by teaching them yoga. Guru Made conducts a very special seven-chakra healing cleansing ceremony at the Holy Santhipala waterfall and teaches Balinese healing yoga and meditations in retreats.

The main center of the retreat program is Dream Hill Retreat Center. During your stay, you can choose one of the accommodations below that will better suit your requirements. Shuttle between all hotels is available and organized.

Dream Hill Retreat Center

Most yoga classes and cultural activities are conducted at the Dream Hill Retreat Center. The property stands on the top of the rock with a 360-degree view of the Bali Sea, mountains, rice fields, and Kaliasem village. To get to the top you have to climb 98 steps, but it is worth it! A quirky wooden hotel is the most extraordinary accommodation you have ever stayed in.

It has an ashram construction type with small single cabins or twin/double rooms with shared/private bathrooms. One deluxe bungalow with a private bathroom and private lounge pool is available for one or two people (double bed, fan). A huge infinity swimming pool with a sea view and lounge deck is located on the top level of Dream Hill.

Santhiku Hotel, Villas, Yoga & SPA

Santhiku Hotel, Villas Yoga & SPA is the place where Santhika Retreat Center started its history in 2017. Nowadays, they conduct their main activities at Dream Hill, but they still accommodate their guests and sometimes hold yoga classes at Santhiku. This place is recommended for those who require air-conditioning and a private bathroom in their own room. There is a small lounge pool on the spot, a spa center, and a restaurant as well.

"Very special retreat in Lovina Bali"
The area, accommodation, program, staff, organisation, massages, yoga..... everything was executed to a very high standard. The extra special treat for this retreat was Anna's kindalini meditations...they were amazing. Also the extra curricular games, were just amazing.

I have cat allergies snd the cats were roaming about. But the staff did what they could to keep them away from me.

Es stimmt einfach alles. Es ist eine Oase zum erholen, Ruhe finden. Ich bin überwältigt. Die Kombination , Yoga und unterschiedliche Aktivitäten über den Tag, ist super abgestimmt. Es ist alles sehr ordentlich, super freundliches Personal. Dream Hill ist ein Geheimtipp, absolut. Ein grosses Danke schön, dass ich so tolle Ferien hier hatte. LG Kerstin
